文化及旅游

　　中山的文化结合了中原文化与本土文化，在流传过程中受地理环境、民族传统等历史变迁因素影响，逐步形成了自己独特的岭南传统文化。
Zhongshan’s folk customs, originally a combination of Zhongyuan (Central China) Culture and the local culture, gradually evolved into a unique traditional culture of Lingnan (South China) style out of the historical influence of geography and national traditions.

　　黄圃飘色，始于19世纪末20世纪初的一种民间木偶戏，后演变为飘色，它是由儿童装扮成历史故事中的人物，造型定格在一个色柜上，由人扛抬，辅以乐曲在街上游行表演。
Huangpu Piaose, evolving from a kind of puppet show in the late 19th century and the early 20th century, is a performance form with children dressing up as characters in the historical stories and upheld by adults in street parades.

　　长洲醉龙，是中国南方独有的民间舞蹈，它融汇了南拳、醉拳、杂耍等技艺，成为中山本土独特的民间艺术。
Changzhou Drunk Dragon Dancing is a folk dancing in southern China and a unique local folk art of Zhongshan, which combines Southern Fist, Drunk Fist as well as acrobatics.

文化及旅游

　　中山钟灵毓秀、风光绮丽。2000年，中山荣获“中国优秀旅游城市”的称号。2005年，全市旅游业总收入为65.5亿元。
Nature bestows beautiful landscapes upon Zhongshan. The city was awarded the title of "China's Excellent Tourism City" in 2000. In 2005, its tourism receipts totaled 6.55 billion yuan.
